Hi John, A mobile data war has erupted in Australia between Telstra and Vodafone, with Optus sure to follow, and the big winners are consumers who finally have access to affordable generous mobile data plans.
Unlimited 4G data plans for mobile phones have arrived in Australia at long last, and truth be told, unlimited 4G was actually launched long ago by VividWireless, but is this the end for the NBN? Seeking to kick Telstra while it's down, and make Optus' customer limits to its unlimited offer look silly, Vodafone has stuck the knife in by upping its data limits even before launch. Optus launched its own 4G unlimited plans in early April, with the catch that it was for "eligible Optus customers" only, but the company has no comment on Telstra and Vodafone's own launches which will pressure the number two telco to make its plans universally available. Hot on the heels of Telstra announcing its unlimited 4G plans comes the hugely embarrassing news of a nationwide Telstra 4G outage – oops! After years of faffing around with useless Windows Phone, Nokia reborn is doing a reboot with Android, and is doing good, with the new models launching this month. And of course, there's plenty more so for all the news visit www.itwire.com. Have a great day!
