Last week, I asked you about your various star sightings. I was star-struck second-hand by some of your encounters: Paris Hilton, Oprah, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Michael Jordan, Julia Roberts, Andy Reid, Loretta Swift, Larry King, Charley Pride and more sightings of Robert Redford than you can count. You all had great stories, but I wanted to share my favorite from reader Kathi Bridges: “For six years ... I volunteered at the Manhattan Temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The temple is located across from Lincoln Center. “I ran into celebrities and athletes on a regular basis. One evening, I was walking to catch my ride home. From a distance, I saw a gentleman walking toward me from about a block away. I thought, 'Hmmm, that looks man looks like Hugh Grant.' The closer we got, I determined it was Hugh Grant. We met in the crosswalk, and I said ‘It is you! Hello, Hugh! Enjoying an evening walk?’ “He looked at me and touched my shoulder and responded, ‘I am! So nice to run into you, you look lovely.’ I said, ‘Thank you,’ and we continued walking our opposite ways. The gentleman he was walking with asked Hugh, ‘Do you know her?’ Hugh responded, "No ... aren't New Yorkers just grand?
