The economic environment we're in today is very similar to the 1970s and into the mid-80s. During that time many farmers went broke and, in the process, learned these two lessons.
“I think the agriculture industry has the potential to become more efficient and deliver better outcomes to farms through basic Language Learning Models — not even considering what potential breakthroughs will come,” says Shane Thomas, an agribusiness professional.
In its second year, the Truterra carbon program had 273 farmer participants with an average payment of more than $18,000. In total, the 2022 program paid farmers more than $5.1 million for 262,000 metric tons of carbon stored.
