| | If there was an award for “Father of the Year in Utah Sports,” one could argue that Mike Wilson, the father of Zach and Isaac Wilson, would have several of those trophies on his mantle. Mike spoke with the Deseret News about his dedication to fatherhood and all of his six children's accomplishments. “I guess we just have high expectations and expect a strong work ethic,” Mike said. “They all seem to work really hard. We push them. It doesn’t have to be sports. It could be anything. We have just told our kids that they have to do something, and whatever they do, they have to give it their best. No shortcuts.” Mike is a hands-on father who pushed his kids to be the best. Zach admits that may not have been the "funnest" when he was a kid, but he recognizes how helpful that was now. "He wanted us to be great, and he believed that we could always be better, so he could be really hard on us sometimes if we didn’t perform or do well. So he instilled a strong work ethic in us. ... It was an every day thing, dad just wanting us to get better.” |

| Former President Donald Trump and Utah Sen. Mitt Romney represent different political and policy preferences within the Republican Party. Which one best represents the preferences of Utahns? Overall, 44% of Utahns chose Romney as a better representation, but that number changes when respondents are broken down into different demographics. More Utah Republicans chose Trump (47%) over Romney (39%). But Romney was the answer for younger voters, moderates, Utahns with a college degree and active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This poll was conducted in late May and therefore does not reflect Utahns' reactions to the news of Trump's indictment. Read more about the results of the poll here.
