A Short Tale of Photography vs. Light
A Short Tale of Photography vs. Light
As analogue photographers, the sun guides our gear choices and influences our results. But did you hear about the photographer who tried to outsmart the light? First, they chose a roll of ISO 100 film to show the bright sun who’s boss. Then, a cloud appeared. “I need more speed,” they thought, so loading an ISO 400 film they screamed, “take that, weather!” As night began to fall, a roll of ISO 800 film appeared, they felt limitless. But then the light disappeared altogether. Not ready to head home yet, with a Lomography Light Painter and a powerful Flash in hand the photographer stepped out into the dusk to manipulate their own lighting creations, just like magic! Now, it’s your turn. Where will your day take you?

Keep it Low
They said it changes when the sun goes down. Many photographers will pack up their bags and head home to their dark room and film scanners and get to work developing their day’s work. But not us Lomographers! There’s always time for an experiment. Our friends at Only Analogue proved us right when they took our Lomography Color Negative ISO 100 film out after dark to capture some low-lit scenes. Using a tripod to keep the camera steady, their shots are full of analogue charm and character. Check out their video to see what they got up to!
