No bones about it: A real-life dinosaur can be yours for this low price Ever wanted to own a dinosaur? Sure, they’ve been extinct for millions of years, but that doesn’t mean their remains aren’t found all over the world. And now, one of the most famous dinosaur skeletons is finally leaving museums and going to auction where anyone with the means to do so can buy it. The skeleton, affectionately named “Stan,” is a 67 million-year-old Tyrannosaurus Rex that measures 37 feet long and likely weighed around 7 tons during his lifetime. He’s one of the most complete T. Rex skeletons ever discovered and is famous for two gruesome bite wounds he likely received in a battle with another T. Rex. If you’re ready to hand over your credit card, Stan can be a permanent exhibit in your home for just… $8 million. What? Nobody said dinosaur bones were cheap! If you think Stan is expensive, try and guess how much this gargantuan Titanosaur fossil costs. Tap or click here to see the biggest dinosaur skeleton ever on display. → |
