The concept of health equity is based on the understanding that everyone can access healthcare equally, but that's not true. People and populations designated as underserved have problems accessing the healthcare services they need for a wide variety of reasons, including geographical, social, societal and technical.
Healthcare organizations today are tasked with identifying those barriers and developing strategies to breach those obstacles and connect people to the right healthcare services at the time and place that best fits them.
This panel will explore how connectivity plays a major role in establishing health equity. Health systems are turning to virtual and digital health platforms and tools, increasingly on 5G networks, to bridge that gap with patients in rural or remote locations and connect them to resources and providers.
