A WORD FROM OUR HOSTS ZACH: First thing: "CHEER." I had been begging for the cast to stop by since January 10, which is two days since the show was released on Netflix. I had watched it all really quickly because it came out the week that I had left The Advocate and found myself with more time. And ever since, I haven't stopped thinking about it. I won't rehash everything (so just go watch) but know this: I'd do anything for Jerry.
Second thing: Sitting down with Tan France and Alexa Chung. I had never met either of them — Tan and I do share a lot of mutual friends, but after seconds of meeting it really felt like Alex and I were just at drinks with old friends. Their show is quite fun, but the two of them are so lovely that getting to chat twinks, celeb gossip, and more was just the perfect way to end the week.
ALEX: One of the best parts of hosting AM to DM is that we get to talk to guests whose work has shaped our thinking. I was so happy to get to sit down with Jaclyn Friedman and Jessica Valenti to talk about their new anthology "Believe Me: How Trusting Women Can Change the World." We talked about how we've arrived at a moment when we're at the tipping point of taking women's voices seriously — and already are — and, yet, there is a great backlash.
