Area colleges set reopening timetables

Midlands Technical College is preparing for students’ return to its campuses in August, while ECPI’s Columbia campus is already resuming some in-person classes. Both schools are focused on keeping students’ degrees and careers on track after closing earlier this year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nephron donates hand sanitizer to USC

The West Columbia-based pharmaceutical company is donating more than 100,000 company-made bottles to the university, which is resuming in-person instruction in August. CEO Lou Kennedy hand-delivered 5,000 bottles today.
