Forecast for Tuesday, January 1 | |||||||||||||
Areas of fog to ring in the New Year then a cold rain on the way - Adam πβοΈUpdate from Adam CaskeyWe have some patchy fog developing tonight, and it'll hang around for a few hours after we ring in the New Year. Then a cold front will slide through San Antonio and kick up the wind, which will put an end to the fog before sunrise. It'll be a cool morning with temperatures in the mid/upper 30s, and we should only make it into the lower 50s for highs. Morning sun will lead to a gray afternoon, but the rain is expected to hold off until Tuesday night.------Colder air will be filtering into South Texas just as rain starts to develop Tuesday night into Wednesday. San Antonio and most of South Texas should just see a cold rain, but parts of the Hill Country will be susceptible to light freezing rain. From approximately 10p Tuesday through 12p Wednesday elevated surfaces in pockets of the Hill Country could develop a light glaze of ice. Bridges and overpasses will be the most susceptible to the light glaze.
