About the show:
The Bay Area Photographers Collective (BAPC) and Berkeley Art Center will be participating in the inaugural year of the Bay Area Month of Photography. Curator Ann Jastrab is Editor In Chief at All About Photo (former gallery director at Rayko Photo). The exhibit, featuring works of 17 BAPC members, is a journey in and among both "dream-like and realistic images that..offer keen observation with heart".

About the Puerto Rico fundraiser:
This exhibit poster, signed by Frank Espada, is related to his most renowned body of work The Puerto Rican Diaspora.  It can be won in the raffle at the opening reception on Saturday, September 15. Proceeds benefit Foundation for Puerto Rico.

HOME SHOW @ PhotoAlliance

PhotoAlliance presents a juried photographic competition with winning entries exhibiting work at the SFO Museum located at the San Francisco International Airport and online @ photoalliance.org. My work will be shown in the online exhibition. These images will be displayed as a part of a “slide show” to a live audience at the next PhotoAlliance event.

Home may be where we start or end our day – an actual place or a state of mind. Home might be a feeling carried around as something desired or battled for. Home can include inhabitants, community or any form of like-mindedness.

Ari Salomon is a fine art photographer and web designer working in San Francisco. His work explores what photography can reveal about the nature of human perception.
