In this 2017 SXSW Audience Award Winner for Best Feature Narrative, Bonnie, a young and successful Latina architect, is sexually assaulted while walking home from an evening out with friends in Brooklyn, NY. At first she attempts to keep the assault a secret from her long-term boyfriend Matt, but the truth quickly emerges. Bonnie emphatically denies the impact of what has just happened to her. She fights to regain normalcy and control of her life, but returning to her old life is more complicated than expected. Her attempt to recapture the intimacy she previously had with Matt falters, and cracks begin to surface in their relationship. Another attack in the neighborhood drives Bonnie further into denial before an encounter with an at-risk woman causes her to face the truth and confront her own self-blame.

Nick Forest, a college freshman, wants nothing more than to join a fraternity. However, in the wake of a brutal hazing death on campus, his estranged older brother, Pete, is rallying against the Greek system. Nick ignores Pete's protests and rushes Psi Theta Epsilon, notorious for its rumored hazing practices.
As Nick begins the pledging process, he relishes the bonding and the partying, especially with Sophie, an irresistible sorority tease. When Nick's close friend, Mimi, struggles with her own sorority experience, and his fraternity's rumored hazing turns dangerously real, Nick begins to question everything. But is he in too deep? A modern retelling of the ancient Greek myth of Dionysus -- the god of wine, revelry, and ecstasy -- HAZE is a raw, shocking glimpse into a world of institutionalized savagery and into the heart of a young man driven by a desperate need for acceptance and brotherhood.

During World War II, men from all over the United States went into combat, but it was Bedford, Va., that earned D-Day's most chilling distinction: the country's highest losses per capita. Directors Joe Fab and Elliot Berlin, who approached the Holocaust from a fresh direction with Paperclips (Filmfest DC 2004), now tell the story of Bedford, whose local National Guard unit was once considered a good way to make a few bucks during the Great Depression. But then the country was drawn into war that same Guard unit was the first to come under withering German fire on Normandy's beaches. This documentary recalls that solemn history but also places it in contemporary context: In 2004, Bedford's National Guard troops were called up for the first time since 1945. They were sent first to Afghanistan and then to Iraq.

(Rated NA/Horror)(1hr 29mins)
Henry (John Nance) resides alone in a bleak apartment surrounded by industrial gloom. When he discovers that an earlier fling with Mary X (Charlotte Stewart) left her pregnant, he marries the expectant mother and has her move in with him. Things take a decidedly strange turn when the couple's baby turns out to be a bizarre lizard-like creature that won't stop wailing. Other characters, including a disfigured lady who lives inside a radiator, inhabit the building and add to Henry's troubles.

For a deliriously funny adult night out during the holidays, join the Drafthouse Comedy Theater for The Santaland Diaries. Cameron Folmar, as Crumpet the Elf, will entertain you with this "delightfully cynical" one man show. A hilarious one act play, the script celebrates the desperation of unemployment, the insanity of Christmas shopping, and the ineffable "cheer" of the holiday spirit. The Santaland Diaries is a sarcastic, deliciously cynical way for adults to celebrate the holidays.
