  Computer models of damage wrought by the storm, which made landfall as a Category 4 hurricane, indicate widespread roof damage and destruction across several states. The Army Corps of Engineers is preparing to cover tens of thousands of damaged rooftops, a senior officer told USA TODAY. "This one is more of a wind event," compared to Hurricane Florence, Army Maj. Gen. Scott Spellmon said.
