Happy Monday. 🌤️ The fairs in Miami are mostly over, which usually signals the beginning of the holiday period in the art community. Maybe this year we can all get some real rest, right? Right?! I know, I know. Let's hope, anyway. If you didn't get to Miami, Valentina Di Liscia offers her picks of the best booths at three of the largest fairs.
In Los Angeles, a strange billboard is attempting to weaponize the "latinx" debate. Is this a sign of a new right-wing tactic? Matt Stromberg investigates.
And a new book shines a light on the relationship between critic and publicist Aline Louchheim and architect Eero Saarinen. Sophia Stewart writes, "She was fiercely ambitious and, shrewdly, downplayed that ambition when male egos needed stroking: When trying to convince Saarinen of something, Hagberg observes, one of Louchheim’s 'most frequent strategies … was to pretend to be clueless.'”
