Hi John, Yesterday I was running errands that took me all over town for dog food, soap, a new planter for an avocado tree I'm trying to rescue, dorm snacks (ramen anyone?), and dessert from a favorite local bakery for our weekly house team meeting. Along the way I kept my eyes open for images or snapshots to incorporate into today's art. Enormous spinning brushes in a DIY car wash caught my eye. I immediately thought it would be a fun art exercise to spin paintbrushes around the page like those soapy rotating scrubbers spinning around a car. As I pulled into the parking lot to take a photo, I then saw this wall and pivoted to a new muse. It was nothing special, honestly. In fact, it's just the kind of thing I might normally ignore. But I was captivated by its geometry, simple color palette, and play of textures. This was it. π Today's Invitation: Take a moment to pause and observe your surroundings.
