I don't know about you but I've been all kinds of cultural as of late. Last week I popped up to see the Ed Ruscha exhibit at MoMA (pictured above) while at The Boys' Club Of New York Fall Dance. The pop artist's paintings are a no-brainer must-see, but more so than his work it's his quote that words "live in a world of no size" that I just can't shake.

A week before that I saw Yo-Yo Ma perform Dvořák’s Cello Concerto at the New York Philharmonic's Opening Gala. It's Music Director Jaap van Zweden's final season with the orchestra, and god will I miss watching that man conduct - so much energy, so many calories burned jumping in all directions.

On Saturday I snuck in last minute to catch a panel discussion about Max Beckmann at Neue Galerie - did you know how hard it is for an artist to create the perfect black? we think of it as an empty, non-color but really it's the richest mix of every color - followed of course by dinner at Cafe Sabarsky. That pretzel, that butternut squash soup, that hot chocolate!

Speaking of soup, you have not lived until you've had Angie Mar's Garlic Soup at Le B. Truly.

Last night I somehow resisted the urge to start jumping around the Regal movie theatre in Union Square while watching Stop Making Sense, the beyond brilliant Talking Heads concert film which has been re-released for its 40th anniversary.

Tonight? Well tonight I'm off to the ballet in celebration of Reformation's sure-to-be stylish new collaboration with the NYCB.

In conclusion, New York's too interesting - go find something to look at or listen to or a bowl of something delicious to lick clean! Deal? Maybe something below will strike your fancy? Wouldn't that be convenient...
