Building Connections to the Past
Building Connections to the Past
Analogue photography gives us the unique opportunity to experience history first-hand. That’s what visual artist, photographer and educator, Magda Kuca, excels at. Using large format cameras and historical photographic techniques, she draws inspiration from the interplay between photography and painting to explore photographic ‘alchemy’ and create unforgettable pieces of art. For a recent project, she used our LomoGraflok 4×5 Instant Back for a series of stunning portraits that bring color photography to life. Seeing Instax film material as a bridge between past and present, these portraits radiate the sheer joy of artistic expression. Head to our Magazine to find out more!

“...with fuji instax being 800 ISO, I've used very low light levels, continuous lighting, and long exposure times, giving me 'space', a sense of mystery, reflection and rethinking time and its duration.”—Magda Kuca
