New York Magazine has commissioned voting stickers with imaginative designs by 48 artists, including Amy Sherald, Shepard Fairey, Barbara Kruger, Lorna Simpson, Hank Willis Thomas, and more.The stickers were created in collaboration with the organization I am a voter, a nonpartisan group that advocates for civic engagement, and the designs are featured on a series of four covers for the magazine’s October 26 issue.In Other NewsArtists Adam Pendleton and Amy Sherald are among the latest to resign from the board of trustees at the Baltimore Museum of Art in the wake of the institution’s controversial deaccessioning plan.The Greenpoint Library & Environmental Education Center, a new climate research library, has just opened in Brooklyn.The artist-activist group Cromoactivismo offered a scathing critique of Pantone for its new “Period Red” shade. |
