Good morning. 🌤️ These times are fraught with division, anxiety, and discord, and it's only natural to feel exhausted by all this. But remember that no matter what happens, we'll always have art.

While we're still processing the outcomes of the midterm elections, let's leap to the Netherlands, where a painting long believed to be a Rembrandt copy turned out to be an original. You see, that's why we still need art historians (as long as they don't write long-winded exhibition reviews).

And speaking of art historians, UC Berkeley reported a sharp increase in students enrolling in arts and humanities majors in the last academic year. Isn't that a pleasant surprise? There's a lot more today, including film and performance reviews. In the meantime, stay strong.
