A Message From the Editor

The Philadelphia courts have been grappling with a significant number of vacancies for the better part of a year, and now that a proposed package of judicial nominees appears stalled, it's likely the vacancies will continue through the primaries. Our first story today has details. Also, after watching the firm he started grow from a six-lawyer boutique to a midsize firm of nearly 100 full-time lawyers, David Kessler is now set to retire from the firm he started, Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check.
