New bison herd roams prairie at Dakota County park
A new bison herd is roaming near the Mississippi River in the south Twin Cities metro. Spring Lake Park Reserve in Dakota County is the latest place in Minnesota to welcome the giant mammals. It’s part of a decades-long effort to both increase their numbers and restore native prairielands.

The last few elections for the Senate District 14 seat in St Cloud have been nail-biters, with just a couple hundred votes separating the candidates. The trend is expected to continue this year.

Election deniers in Minnesota are training some election judges. Groups led by election skeptics and deniers have been working to influence the behavior of Election Day judges, and in at least one case trying to persuade them to commit possibly unlawful acts. That “training” has alarmed state and local officials.
