Pravda Interview With Chris Devonshire-Ellis: "Russia's Trade Relations with Asia are Improving Before Our Eyes"
Chris Devonshire-Ellis, Publisher of Asia Briefing, was interviewed by Russia’s Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper answered at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok by Pravda’s main economic correspondent Evgeny Proskuryakov. This discussion dealt with Russia’s developing trade ties with Asia and has attracted 14 million views in Russia. We provide the English language translation.

China’s Robotics Industry: Current Outlook and Market Scope for Foreign Investors

Vietnam-Russia Trade: New Links Between Sea and Rail Routes
A new connection between the sea and railway routes to transport goods to and from Vietnam was launched in Russia on September 6. The connection marks the growing logistics and bilateral trade between the two countries, facilitating goods transfer directly from Vietnam to Western Russia and vice versa. We explore the growing trade between both countries facilitated by the sea freight and rail routes.
 
Thailand’s Islamic Economy: Sourcing and Consumer Market Opportunities

Kazakhstan – Tajikistan Bilateral Trade Up 16.5% In H1 2022
The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan reached US$621.4 million over the period from January – June 2022, compared to US$519.02 million during the same months of 2021, according to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
 
Uzbekistan Signs US$15 Billion Worth Of Agreements With China At SCO Summit
China and Uzbekistan agreed to expand trade and economic cooperation, develop e-commerce and implementation of industrial cooperation projects, and invest in areas such as the automotive industry, green energy, agriculture and infrastructure development as well as Free Trade Industrial zones.
 
MIDDLE EAST
Iran Planning Direct Railway Link From Tehran To Shanghai
Iran is to launch a direct train route to China within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The route will strengthen cargo and transit between Iran and SCO member countries, with the main terminus of the route being Tehran and Shanghai.
 
The UAE – Indonesia Trade Agreement: Benefits for UAE Based Exporters
The free trade agreement removes trade barriers for a variety of goods and services with the aim to increase bilateral trade to US$10 billion by 2030. Indonesia has cancelled import tariffs for 80% of UAE exports.

Russia – India Trade Up 120% In 2022
Energy, grain and fertilizer needs see trade massively expand while Delhi seeks a permanent trade agreement.
