Thanks to everyone who came to the launch of our first Atelier Open last Thursday evening.With 130 artists exhibiting from across the UK, it was a busy evening in our arches on Brighton Beach. This is a truly open Open, with 200 artworks selected from over 1000 entries. Professional, emerging and amateur artists are represented working in print, sculpture, painting, textiles, mosaic, collage, 3D-printed resin, and more.
Congratulations to Fiona White who won the Cass Art Prize for Two-Dimensional Work for her piece Pebble 1, and to Stefanie Smith who won the Cass Art Prize for Three-Dimensional Work for Into the Overwhelm. Our thanks to Judy Stevens, Director of Artists Open Houses, for judging, and to Cass Art for sponsoring the inaugural Atelier Open prizes.
