At least nine people who attended President Trump's rally in Bemidji last month were later diagnosed with COVID-19, Minnesota health officials say.

At least one person identified was infectious at the time of the outdoor rally at the Bemidji airport. Two of the cases required hospitalization —  one in an ICU. Officials said Friday they have not linked any COVID-19 deaths to the rally.

Trump also held a rally in Duluth on Sept. 30 — about a day before he tested positive for COVID-19. Health officials are watching for cases among people who attended the Duluth event, but have not publicly confirmed any cases from the Duluth rally.

More than 1,400 new COVID-19 cases confirmed today, with 14 additional deathsThe newest numbers come on a day after Minnesota reported the second-highest number of new COVID-19 hospital admissions in a single day in the pandemic.

Minnesota health officials say they're seeing the fastest growth in COVID-19 cases outside the Twin Cities metro area.

Derek Chauvin will be allowed to live out of state as part of new conditions on his release from custody.
