We’re Open!

After a mammoth 10 week renovation sprint Atelier Beside the Sea is now open to the public every day 10-6. The shop is stocked with goods from our favourite makers and artists (see website for details - not everything is online just yet) Gallery 1 features mostly prints from printmakers who show at the gallery and Gallery 2 is showing “Undersea Overland” exhibition with work from John Dilnot, Becky Blair, Jo Sweeting and Katie Mawson

Join Us On the Beach

We’ve planned a series of events to show off the large, beautiful spaces.

• PREVIEW EVENINGS join us on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday evening this week for a glass of wine in the gallery or on the beach a chance to see the new spaces, view the exhibitions, and have a personal tour by members of the team who can talk about our plans but also see what ideas you may have for exhibitions, events, classes. Its lovely being on the beach watching the sun go down (although it tends to be quieter mid week than Friday) Slots need to be booked so that we can control numbers due to covid restrictions.

• TASTER CLASSES AND DEMONSTRATIONS - We are working hard to develop a varied and interesting programme of craft and art classes. To whet your appetite we have a day of taster classes (paid) and demonstrations (free) We have a dedicated beautiful high vaulted brick arch for the school as well as using the gallery for some sessions. Because of Covid you have to book even for the free demonstrations so we can control numbers in the building.

PPECHA KUCHA NIGHT. 7th July 7-9pm

• 8 artists, makers, graphic novelists and a tattoo artist speak in the (powered By) Pecha Kucha format (20 Pictures 20 Seconds). (Tickets very limited due to venue restrictions so book early)
