The southbound and northbound lanes on San Francisco's iconic Golden Gate Bridge were blocked over the weekend after a tractor trailer overturned into oncoming traffic. The incident was due to the catastrophic wind and rain that continues to plummet the area.

On Saturday, Joe Biden announced a disaster declaration in California due to recent “atmospheric rivers” that have left at least 19 people dead since the start of the storms on December 26.

The storms and flooding have already rocketed 2023 as San Francisco’s seventh “wettest water year” since 1973.
