Atom Egoyan, whose latest film, Seven Veils, premiered on Sunday night at TIFF, spoke to us about his relationship to the opera, collaborating with Amanda Seyfried and the challenges of summoning erotic energy. “Amanda and I had promised we would work together again,” he says. “This was the right project.” |

| Joe Mimran has a knack for building apparel giants from scratch. His latest project: transforming hat maker Tilley into a fresh, modern brand that appeals to both Gen Z influencers and their hiking-obsessed parents. Mimran also runs Gry Mttr, an office furniture and accessories line, and an organic baby-and-toddler brand called Rise Little Earthling. “I’m staying very busy and creative,” he says. We asked the tastemaker to tell us about the home decor items he’s coveting right now. |
