This auction has been carefully collated by specialists Chris Moore, Derek Ainsworth and Andy Neal with over 300 lots.

Book collectors will be especially enamoured by a ‘Peacock Edition’ of Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’.  This copy is a first edition, published in 1894, with a beautiful gilt peacock design on green cloth and gilt edges.

Coin department highlights include a Oliver Cromwell silver half crown dated 1656, estimated at £4,000 - £5,000 and a nicely presented three coin set of Kingdom of Tonga coronation commemorative coins, 4th July 1967.

A particular lot which should excite the curiosity of philatelists, is an entire letter from Napoleon Bonaparte’s brother, Lucien, of postal, historical and literary importance, with a Shrewsbury connection, estimated at £350 - £450.
