Last week, we were thrilled to announce that the Harvard Art Museums will reopen to the public on Saturday, September 4! Additionally, we’ll begin offering free admission to everyone on Sundays (bonus: parking in Cambridge is free on Sundays, too). You can get all the details in this online announcement.

Thank you for your engagement and support in building an online community over the last year and a half—now we look forward to welcoming you into the museums soon. Until then, enjoy our virtual events, which are free and open to everyone.

EXHIBITION

Devour the Land

Not long after the museums reopen in early September, we’ll also be opening our special exhibition Devour the Land. Mark your calendar for September 17 to visit this exhibition exploring the impacts of military activity on the American landscape—and the ways photography supports activism in response to these effects.

This side-by-side image features two prints by Pablo Picasso, with a rendering of a female face in each print.

EXHIBITION

States of Play

Last week we also announced the upcoming exhibition States of Play, which will allow you to immerse yourself in the world of printmaking. Through works by Pablo Picasso, Rembrandt, Lee Krasner, Jacques Philippe Le Bas, Louis Delsarte, and more, you’ll be able to trace how artists move step by step to painstakingly rework and refine their images.
