Our Last Repair Café

Our last Repair Café is August 18th at Overbrook Community Centre from 11am - 4pm.

We're fixing appliances, jewelry, clothes, furniture, computers, bikes, and more!

Overbrook Day celebrations will be happening at the same location from 11am - 3pm. Enjoy a free BBQ, Bike Rodeo, activities, and crafts.

Canning Demo Night!

Did you know that the OTL has canning and other kitchen tools for members to borrow?

With all the incredible local produce available now, it's a great time to learn to can! Learn easy techniques for preserving summer's bounty and enjoying it all year long with Giselle from Gingham Wisdom at our August 27th Community Demo Night.

Learn to Mend

Our next Learn to Mend night is September 24th.

Repair don't toss! Swap, don’t shop!

Bring clothing or textiles in need of repair, and our talented volunteers will show you how to sew, darn, felt, and patch through one-on-one demonstrations. Browse used clothing and yarn/knitting supplies while you wait and bring your own unwanted items to contribute.

Recap: Knife Sharpening Demo

We held a knife sharpening demo on July 30th! Our resident knife pro, Tom, showed us how to sharpen blades of all kinds, including knives, scissors, and garden tools. A big Thank You to Beth, from Ottawa Leather Works, and community builder Shelley who shared their knife sharpening skills as well.
