Can't find a park at the beach? We know getting a parking spot at the beach on a hot day is like winning the lottery, so we've installed a temporary carpark at the end of Chieftain Esplanade, North Coogee. Remember, only dedicated carparks can be used and not verges or other areas as it blocks the view of oncoming cars and bikes which is dangerous. For maps showing permanent parking along the coast, click the button below. |

CoSafe & WA Police working together for better outcomes Our CoSafe team has worked hard to develop a strong relationship with WA Police (WAPOL). CoSafe regularly shares statistics and reports with WAPOL to help plan police patrols, area targeting and to investigate crimes, ensuring the community receives the best support possible. Sharing of information has resulted in quicker response times for WAPOL and CoSafe, which means they can provide our community with a solution faster. The City encourages the community to report incidents to WAPOL on 000 (emergency) or 13 14 44 (non-emergency) and CoSafe on 1300 267 233 (24 hours). |

Help STOP the exotic Qfly in Cockburn The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development has detected Queensland fruit fly (Qfly) in Coolbellup, Hamilton Hill, Samsom, Bibra Lake, North Lake and Kardinya. Residents are asked to help stop the spread by not removing any home-grown fruit or vegetables from the area unless they are cooked or frozen, and to dispose of all ripe, fallen and fruiting vegetables every three days. Fresh (untreated) fruit must not be put in the rubbish bin, compost or fed to poultry. Department staff are visiting properties within the area to arrange access to private yards for eradication activities including inspections, trapping, baiting and stripping of fruit. |
