	Billabong Sanctuary in Queensland is launching a ‘semi-arid desert habitat’ which will house endangered Australian mammal, the bilby. Opening September 2016, the habitat will also host an important breeding program to boost the number of bilbies in the wild and in zoos. Find out more here.

	The Whitsundays will be hosting the opening round of the Australian Fishing Championships from 7 November, 2016 at Lake Prosperine, home to barramundi over one metre (3.2 feet) in size. Find out more here.
