Topic:Â Leather Title Contests: Past Successes, Present Issues and Future Impact

Avatars Monthly BDSM Education Series Continues. This month we take a closer look at the leather contests and their impact on the community.

Much has been said both pro and con about the relevance of the leather contests. Are they a simple way for bars to make money, Are unprepared titleholders thrust into a position of leadership when they are not ready or have limited knowledge of leather and BDSM? Or as Ruff Wray, publisher of Great Lakes Den states: "do they get an almost overwhelming amount of attention. To the point where those of us who don’t have titles are left in the cold."

Scheduled on the panel are Current International Mister Leather Patrick Smith, Brain Dawson, Thomas Trafalet and Daddy Don Anspaugh.Â
