Power Exchange Partner Abuse Community Panel Discussion

An Avatar is a Hindu deity who makes a deliberate descent into mortal realms for special purposes. This is where Avatar Los Angeles got its name. There have been many times since the club was founded over 35 years ago that our community needed leadership in addressing issues critical to our safe, sane, and consensual play and relatedness.

Avatar LA believes we are currently in such a time. Recent events have, again, put into the spotlight, the difference between power exchange and intimate partner violence/abuse. While this conversation is initiated by the loss of Pup Tank (aka Jack), this is by no means, an isolated incident. We will be holding an informational and experiential forum to discuss the nature of healthy power exchange, bodily autonomy, and the very nature safe, sane, and consensual BDSM play.
