Backers will go to bat for Sito Narcisse

Supporters of Sito Narcisse are willing to fight to keep him as superintendent of East Baton Rouge Parish Schools. His contract is set to expire June 30 after the School Board voted 5-4 not to renew it during a recent meeting.

At a community meeting Monday, backers discussed staging a renewed push to get him reinstalled when the School Board reconvenes in 2024.


Gov.-elect Jeff Landry plans to call lawmakers back to Baton Rouge in January and February for special sessions on crime and redistricting.

A federal judge has ordered lawmakers to redraw the state's U.S. congressional map, crafted by GOP lawmakers in 2022. And Landry has expressed a desire to hold a session focused on crime and public safety. 


The Saints' red-zone efficiency has jumped in the three weeks since tight end Jimmy Graham returned to the lineup, as the team has scored touchdowns on nine of its 10 trips inside its opponent’s 20-yard line.
