A thrilling, genre-bending debut novel

Almost everyone has a story about an eccentric roommate from their past, but Kaliane Bradley’s debut novel takes the idea to another level. After the classic adjustment period—she adapts to his chain-smoking, he adapts to the modern world—an unlikely romance ensues, and the rest, as they say, is history. Out May 7
