Backward walking is the best workout you're not doing

I recently started spicing up my morning walks: Instead of moving in a forward direction, I've been experimenting with backward walking. I could tell, even before consulting any experts, that it was a good workout. Fitness experts echoed that assessment—"retro-walking" is a low-impact way to burn calories, strengthen your legs, and more.
