Join Bakers Against Racism Tomorrow |
Tomorrow, CUESA will be joining Bakers Against Racism, a movementof bakers across the country condemning racism and raising funds for organizations that support Black lives, with a bake sale at our Ferry Plaza Farmers Market. In the south driveway, a guest tent of home bakers will be selling a variety of freshly baked desserts and pastries, with all proceeds being donated to Black-led organizations likeBlack Earths Farms, East Oakland Grocery Cooperative, People’s Breakfast Oakland, and more. CUESA and the professional bakers in our market are making donations to San Francisco-based organizations that serve Black youth and families, including3rd Street Youth, Collective Impact, Rafiki Coalition, and Youth Community Developers. Visit each baker's tent for more information.
While Bakers Against Racism is a gesture of support in the movement for Black lives, we encourage you to learn about and follow these Black-led organizations who are on the frontlines leading this work, and donate or volunteer directly to make a greater impact. |

| Thank You for Keeping Farmers Markets Safe ❤️ |
Face coverings are required in all public spaces in California, including the farmers market. Thanks to all of you for helping us keep a safe environment by wearing masks, physical distancing, and being kind and patient. La Cocina Pop-Up on Saturdays: La Luna Cupcakes
Elvia Buendia's love of pastry since she was a young girl motivated her to become a baker and create new flavors and beautifully decorated cupcakes. Elvia uses locally grown and fresh ingredients, so that her cupcakes won't be too sugary. Try Elvia's cupcakes at the La Cocina booth in the back plaza tomorrow and next Saturday. |
