For years my primary medium was watercolor and my paintings were still-lifes and landscapes. A few years ago I took a workshop on abstract art using acrylics and my world opened up! Wow, what freedom! I found that not focusing on the recognizable allowed me to let the painting guide my progress. My paintings are bold and vibrant and full of color. Using the basic art elements of shapes, contrast, design, and texture I create abstracts that allow the viewer an opportunity to find their own meaning in the artwork.
My paintings are in private collections across the northeast.
