Chef's CornerPumpkin Bacon Goat Cheese Appetizer
8 oz. Cream Cheese4 oz. Goat Cheese ¾ cup Pureed Pumpkin5 slices of bacon cooked and crumbledâ teaspoon black pepper½ cup of chopped walnuts or pecans½ cup chopped granny smith apples¼ cup honey for drizzlingCrackers or baguette slices (I used Stacy's Simply Naked Bagel Chips)
InstructionsMix cream cheese, goat cheese and pumpkin in a small bowl.Add pepper and ¾ of the crumbled bacon to the mixture. Save some bacon for garnish.Spread the dip onto a cracker or toasted baguette slice.Sprinkle with nuts, apples, bits of bacon then drizzle with honey before serving.
Cocktail CornerBlack Magic
1/4 cup ice1/2 cup orange juice1 1/2 ounces black vodka1/2 ounce triple secorange wedge In a cocktail shaker, add orange juice and triple sec over ice. Shake well, and strain into a glass. Using the back of a spoon, pour black vodka slowly into a glass so that the vodka sits atop the mixture. Dip one edge of the orange wedge into the vodka for spooky presentation, and sit the wedge on the rim.
