Baseball, the NFL Draft, and money

Busy, busy LSU sports Friday we just had, people.

Let's get right to it. For those missing actual football season, consider this your two-minute warning of LSU sports newsletters:

• Friday brought Day 2 of the NFL Draft. See which LSU Tiger got selected and by whom.
• Action at the LSU Board of Supervisors meeting. The board approved new contracts for two LSU football assistant coaches. It also approved steep ticket price increases for baseball and gymnastics (have to pay for those upgraded coaches salaries somehow).
• LSU baseball opened its three-game home series with Auburn with a 5-0 victory. It's Auburn and Auburn is bad, but there were definitely some promising signs on the mound for the purple and gold Tigers.
