| After a 15-1 start, a 65-58 loss to Arkansas on Jan. 15 seemed to send the LSU basketball team's season off the rails. A 77-76 loss Wednesday to that same Arkansas team in Fayetteville may have been the toughest loss yet. The Razorbacks outscored the Tigers 21-13 over the last 6 1/2 minutes to pull out the victory and sweep the home and home series. LSU dropped to 20-10 and 8-9 in SEC play going into Saturday's regular-season finale against Alabama, making the Tigers 5-9 since that 15-1 start. Missed shots and controversial fouls in the closing moments doomed LSU's road upset bid. "You can’t make the mistakes that we made defensively down the stretch," LSU coach Will Wade said. "You just can’t do that if you’re going to win big games in tough environments."
