BBGV E-newsletter March 2018 - Week 1

The 8th March is International Women’s Day (IWD) which recognizes and celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks the need for progression in gender parity. The observance of IWD provides the opportunity to acknowledge the achievements women have made to overall benefit of humankind. The benefits of having women integrated into business are not only economic but also engenders improved communication and collaboration, as well as inclusive working and problem solving. BBGV would like to honour and thank all the women who have taken responsibility and contributed so much the via their commitment to work, family, politics and society. This year also marks 100 years of women suffrage in the UK.
During 2018 BBGV is launching a series of “Women in Business” seminars, the inaugural event is the Women in Business: Strive for Excellence, sponsored by Grant Thornton Vietnam and including Ms Nguyen Thi Vinh Ha – Deputy General Director & National Head of Advisory Services of Grant Thornton Vietnam as the main speaker. Both women and men are welcomed to attend the event.

On this occasion, we are very happy to announce the launch of the Grant Thornton “Women in Business” report and also welcome a diverse panel discussion moderated by Mr Kenneth Atkinson – Chairman of BBGV and Executive Chairman of Grant Thornton Vietnam with these following panellists:

1/ Ms Pham Thi My Le – Chair-woman of Le & Associates and Vice President of HCMC Association for Women Executives and Entrepreneurs (HAWEE).
2/ Ms Tran Thi Thanh Mai – Managing Director of Kantar TNS Media Vietnam.

4/ Ms Truc Nguyen – CFO of HSBC Vietnam.
