On 04th Nov 2018, BBGV in Hanoi hosted their 4th annual Charity Fun Run at British University Vietnam (BUV) Campus in Ecopark. Despite the excessive heat on an autumn day, more than 6,000 runners came to enjoy the run. Between registration fees and sponsorship nearly 650 million was raised for charity. We were honoured to have had Ms. Lisa Banks – representative from the British Embassy in attendance. The event was a success thanks to our sponsors, BBGV would like to express our appreciation to their generous sponsorship, without such we could not have done what we did. We also very much appreciated Da LAB band for their great support and beautiful performance which thrilled all the runners before their run. “The main objective of charity fun run is about involving people in a community and serving a common goal – helping the needy people in Vietnam to have a better life.”, said Christopher Jeffery – BBGV Vice Chairman and Dean at BUV. “It’s also a showcase of how Vietnam and the Britain working together to strengthen the connections between the two countries” Throughout the event, there was an array of fun activities; 5km run, entertainment, fun market and lucky draw. Over the last four years, this event has grown into something special to look forward to in Hanoi in the end of the year. “It’s so good to be here in such a wonderful atmosphere”, shared Ms. Yen - a runner from Aviva. “I would like to see more of these meaningful activities so that we can participate and contribute to the society.” Above all, valued reward to us is being able to have sponsored a wide range of charity projects.
