BBGV MEMBERS CONTRIBUTION REQUESTED TO THE FOUR KEY ISSUES BEING RAISED AT JETCO

Bilateral trade talks between the UK and the Vietnamese Government take place annually, through the Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETCO). The ninth annual JETCO meeting will take place in Hanoi this month. We would like to thank all those who responded to the Department of International Trade’s (DIT) survey.

These talks allow both sides to share the mutual concerns of their business community with a view to improving bilateral trade and investment. In preparation the DIT and the BBGV would like to share with you the four key issues the UK administration will be discussing and invite you to provide your comments on your company’s experience/challenges in these issues;

1. Recognition of UK qualifications and International Standards.
2. Opening the market for international firms in the Pharmaceutical market ensuring faster access to a range of high quality drugs
3. Improving the application of tax legislation in Vietnam
4. Support in the UK’s process of exporting meat to Vietnam
