Face of America Liberty Coming October 8

Presented by Northwell Health, this one-day inclusive ride of 54 miles is similar to our popular two-day ride to Gettysburg from Valley Forge and Arlington each April. Liberty also honors our adaptive military veterans for their sacrifices and dedication in serving our nation.

The ride's conclusion at the World Trade Center is particularly meaningful to World T.E.A.M. Sports, as our non-profit organization directed the popular 2002 and 2003 Face of America rides from Ground Zero at today's World Trade Center to the Pentagon. These two rides saw more than 2,000 participants in the two years it served as the official memorial ride for the September 11, 2001 attacks upon America.

Registration for our ride is currently open for all athlete categories. Adaptive riders should be sure to first complete our online qualification questionnaire. Once this is completed, the athlete will receive an emailed invitation to register. Note that for our adaptive athletes, our inaugural budget does not allow for covering transportation or lodging costs.

We hope many of you can join us in New York this October!

Adventure Team Challenge Colorado Photographic Galleries Available Online

If you've never participated World T.E.A.M. Sports' Adventure Team Challenge in Colorado, our 2017 photographic galleries offer a glimpse into this remarkable inclusive team event.

Hosted this September 15-17 at the rustic Rancho del Rio fishing and rafting resort along the Colorado River in Colorado's Gore Mountains north of Eagle, the Challenge included ten teams of five athletes. On each team, two of the athletes were adaptive, one being a wheelchair user.

During the three stage event, athletes raft the Colorado River, use mountain bikes and hand cycles to traverse rocky two-track trails, climb and rappel granite cliffs and found the route between checkpoints to successfully finish.

This year, Colorado's Team Pumpkin Spice completed the stages in record time, shattering Team Lumber Liquidators' course record established in 2011. Even race organizer Billy Mattison of Vail, an experienced adventure athlete himself, was impressed by the team's finish.
