Sharing knowledge can change lives

Dear John,

Today is GivingTuesday, the global day of generosity. Every year people around the world come together on GivingTuesday to unleash the power of radical generosity to transform communities.

OpenCourseWare was born of an act of radical openness and generosity by MIT faculty twenty years ago, and is sustained by learners like you who give back, when they can with what they can, so that everyone can enjoy free access to knowledge through OCW.

Will you help OCW today and share the gift of knowledge? Here are three ways you can help out:

  1. Make a gift to OCW. Keep knowledge from MIT free and open for learners and educators to use, anytime, anywhere. Give before midnight tonight.
  2. Share your story with us. By sharing how OCW has made a difference in your life, you inspire others and help us improve our offerings. Complete our short learner survey or share your story with our online community using #MITOCW.
  3. Tell someone you know about OCW. Know an educator, student, or lifelong learner who might benefit from access to OCW resources? Tell them about us!

Every act of generosity counts. Thank you for considering giving back to OCW today.

With appreciation,
Megan & the MIT OpenCourseWare team

P.S. 75% of the gifts OCW received last year were under $100. Even a small gift adds up to a big impact!
