Welcome to the awards program of the century.
In 1922 winners ranged from ads touting the artistry of Cossard's “front lacing” Corsets, to a timeless pitch for an iconic product: “always take an EverReady Flashlight with you everywhere."
Ads for "Canada's Best Known Musical Instrument" promised a happier Christmas with the mellow tones of the $95 Columbia Grafonola in your home, while Hoover suggested “give her a lasting reminder of your thoughtfulness” to "transform her hours of drudgery with hours of ease and leisure."
So a few things have changed… but odds are good that someone unwrapped an appliance from their partner this holiday ; )
