Investment Grade Treasures!

In the past, I’ve written to you about certain areas of collecting that are particularly desirable and profitable. And this is the case in every genre of collecting whether it be fine art, baseball cards, antique cars or vintage posters and Rare autographs. . . However, about 97-99% of what you see for sale is close to worthless (like on eBay). It's the most Rare, most Desirable 1-3% that serious collectors chase! . For example, with baseball cards collectors are driven by condition, rarity, and desirability. At the top of the list is the Mickey Mantle rookie card. Why Mickey Mantle? I’m not quite sure, but the market has clearly anointed the “Mick” the King of Baseball Card collecting. Never was this more evident than in April of 2018 when one of his rookie cards sold for $2.9 Million ! . The same holds true with vintage movie posters. Most that appear on the market are not desirable and hence have little value. But, goback to the early 1930s and uncover original Dracula, Frankenstein or Freaks lobby cards or posters and you’re set for life! . However, there are other factors that contribute to values going up, sometimes dramatically. For example, original 1977 Star Wars posters have seen a steady appreciation in the past few years which can be attributed in part to Disney acquiring the Star Wars franchise from George Lucas. Another Original release movie poster that has gone way up in value in the 1975 “Jaws” one sheet. Another one you may want to Invest in NOW before the price gets way out of reach! . Also, a first release poster for a historic movie and/or group. A good example is The Beatles. Over the past two years we’ve seen a dramatic increase in value of original vintage Beatles memorabilia and movie posters. In particular, their first feature film in 1964, “A Hard Day’s Night”. . Now here is a poster you can bet will continue to skyrocket in value. . As a matter of fact, recent sales of this poster have been staggering! One of the last original one sheets for “Hard Days Night” sold at auction in March 2019, for $3360. . So, you can be sure dealers will be selling this poster for $4000-5000 very soon. And we may be one of the last opportunities you see to get this piece of music and Beatles History for under $2000! . See this gem here! ( we are fortunate to have Two .
