Late Night Live welcomes David Marr |
|
Exciting news this week! ABC RN has announced that the Walkley-award-winning journalist David Marr will take over as the new presenter of Late Night Live after Phillip Adams retires. On Friday morning, Marr told ABC RN Breakfast that he was "so excited" about hosting the show. "It's going to be different, there are going to be different voices, but the same commitment to big issues, big ideas that Phillip has had," he said. The much-loved Adams has been hosting Late Night Live for 33 years, interviewing everyone from prime ministers to pop stars and those somewhere in-between. There will soon be a collection of Adams' most interesting interviews, from across the years, on the ABC Listen app, so look out for that. His last broadcast will be on June 27. Marr starts at Late Night Live on July 15, and he'll present the show until (at least) the end of the program year. Also, the Big Weekend of Books is happening soon. Mark the weekend of June 15 and 16 in your diary to enjoy the interviews with acclaimed authors, journalists and more throughout the weekend-long broadcast. Enjoy getting ABC RN in your inbox?
